Clinical Practice

Introduction:

David’s Clinical Practice stems from his extensive training in classical Chinese medicine and neuro-anatomical acupuncture. He has been fortunate enough to study under some very diverse and traditional teachers as well as some specifically orthodox practitioners. David brings a clinically effective blend to his practice for optimised results and patient care.

By basing his treatments on the fundamental teachings of classical China, no two treatments will be the same. In clinical practice, David will always use what he believes to be most effective and most comfortable for the patient – this is a minimalist approach to Chinese medicine yet one that yields the greatest results.

What to expect in a treatment:

Classical acupuncture is significantly different and more diverse than standard acupuncture. As both styles of medicine are clinically effective, David feels that he is able to gain faster results with the classical approach to the body. A general session may involve:

  • Questioning
  • Pulse and Abdominal Palpation
  • Channel Palpation
  • Acupuncture
  • Dietary and Exercise advice
  • Herbal prescription
